Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical design with focus on power distribution.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP).
• Experience with power system analysis software (ETAP, DigSilent) is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of LV and MV distribution, electrical codes, and safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical distribution systems including substations, switchgear and reticulation networks.
• Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD software.
• Perform load calculations, system analysis, and fault studies.
• Select electrical equipment such as transformers, cables, circuit breakers and protection devices.
• Ensure designs comply with national codes and project requirements.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits for feasibility studies and construction support.
• Review contractor submittals and provide clarifications during construction.
• Assist in preparation of proposals and cost estimates.
• Stay updated on best practices and emerging technologies in power distribution.
