Job summary

Leidos Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler & Controller to join our Strategic Project Consulting team in the Power Delivery Solutions division in Seattle, WA. You will support a large electric utility client in the Pacific Northwest, focusing on construction scheduling, work planning, and project tracking.

The role requires 4–7 years (mid) or 7–10 years (senior) of scheduling experience, a Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field, and proficiency with MS

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of relevant project scheduling experience.
  • 7-10 years of relevant project scheduling experience (Pay ranges will be commensurate with candidate experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a closely related discipline is required
  • Demonstrated experience working with scheduling software such as MS Project
  • Must have the capability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts on project tasks
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Must be able to interact with customer representatives in an effective manner
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to report to downtown Seattle office on a hybrid work schedule, and ability to travel to project sites as needed (likely ~5-10%)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain schedules for engineering and construction projects for electric utility clients.
  • Use earned value management techniques to align schedule and costs and develop recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with PM, Engineering Leads, Managers, Construction teams and client stakeholders to track deliverables.
  • Produce weekly/monthly project control reports including resource loading, critical path and risk analysis.
  • Interface with the client daily to report progress, schedule and risks across multiple projects.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards and KPI tracking.
  • Assist with material tracking for project teams.
