Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Project Manager II in the Power Delivery Solutions group to lead project quality, timeliness, and safety while mentoring the team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers through excellent service.

The candidate will manage financial health, oversee contracts, and coordinate with owners, subcontractors, and trade partners to ensure successful project delivery. Travel up to 100% may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction management or related experience with large projects ($20M+)
• Detail orientation to manage multiple tasks
• Understanding of construction law and business practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 100%
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Manage overall financial health of projects including subcontracts and suppliers
• Develop and maintain project financial projections and allocate project estimate into financial system
• Determine cost codes, approve invoices, and provide financials to Accounting for timely payment
• Create monthly owner billings and handle billings and contract management including contract buyouts
• Oversee budget for and make selections of trade partners and suppliers
• Lead/Manage Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s) and mentor the team
• Approve timecards for on-site team members and provide feedback
• Serve as main contact with owner and on-site representative, review owner agreements and resolve site concerns
• Execute/manage change orders and obtain approvals
• Maintain schedule and budget through project completion and manage quality, risk, safety, and compliance
