Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Superintendent in our Power Delivery group to coordinate, plan, and supervise craft activities and subcontractors across a defined area. You will develop relationships with clients and project teams while ensuring safety and quality.

The role offers two levels (1 and 2) with pay ranges based on experience and location; travel up to 100% is expected. Base pay is determined by knowledge, skills, and experience, with Mortenson’s incentive plan.

Qualifications

• 5+ years construction management or related experience
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and driving project success
• Knowledge of construction law and business practices
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel up to 100%

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support project schedule
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability; coordinate plans with design engineers
• Develop and manage project schedule and site logistics; collaborate with superintendents
• Supervise project partners and subcontractors; lead planning sessions and site meetings
• Ensure proper task coding; lead and track work progress; train team members
• Build effective relationships across diverse backgrounds and levels
• Lead by example; provide coaching and feedback; manage performance
• Provide high-level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance; seek process improvements
