Job summary

Primoris Power Solutions in Lewisville, TX is hiring an Estimator II for power delivery projects. The role autonomously prepares detailed cost estimates for substation, transmission, and distribution works and supports the full pursuit lifecycle from RFP through bid turnover.

You will analyze documents, develop BOEs, manage risk registries, and coordinate with subcontractors under senior estimators, using B2W, OST, Building Connected, and Excel.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of estimating experience in electrical utility, substation, transmission, or distribution construction (or closely related field).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and RFP/RFQ documentation.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication for coordinating with stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Analyze RFP documentation, drawings, and specifications to understand project scope and document scope-impacting language.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and other costs using the B2W estimating software.
• Develop and validate quantity take-offs using OST for substation work and Excel-based tools for transmission line scopes.
• Solicit, evaluate, and document subcontractor pricing, including RFQ management within Building Connected and B2W.
• Support constructability discussions and means-and-methods development with SMEs and Project Delivery.
• Populate and maintain the Risk Registry and contribute to BOE narratives and ACE documentation.
