Apex Systems is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to serve as the primary BI and analytics resource for the Technology Operations Portfolio and Financial Management team. You will develop and maintain Power BI solutions that drive insights into financial performance, portfolio health, and compliance metrics.

The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, collaborates with business partners, and translates business needs into actionable analytics while delivering impactful dashboards and data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of BI/Analytics experience with dashboards and reporting.
• Strong Power BI development skills: DAX, data modeling, performance tuning.
• Experience with Snowflake, Excel, and AI tools like Copilot.

Apex Systems is hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer for a large Healthcare client. Location: Fully remote anywhere in the United States. *YOU MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP* Role OverviewThis role serves as the primary business intelligence and analytics resource for the Technology Operations Portfolio and Financial Management team. The position involves maintaining, enhancing, and developing Power BI solutions that provide insights into financial performance, portfolio health, resource allocation, and compliance metrics. The ideal candidate will be a self-sufficient and proactive individual who can independently manage priorities while collaborating with business partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and optimize existing dashboards, and troubleshoot data and reporting issues.
• Develop new visualizations and reporting capabilities by partnering with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
• Translate business needs into actionable analytics solutions.
• Leverage Microsoft 365 technologies, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Snowflake, to support data integration, automation, and reporting initiatives.
• Maintain the accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness of existing reporting assets.
• Deliver new dashboard capabilities in alignment with leadership priorities.
• Provide data-driven insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Develop a deep understanding of an established portfolio of dashboards, data sources, and reporting processes.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Must have experience with Power BI Dashboard development, Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Apps, Power Query, Data modeling and report performance tuning, Snowflake, Excel, and AI tools, such as CoPilot.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related technical field.
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300).
• Experience developing solutions with Power Automate.
• Experience integrating Power BI with Snowflake data sources and managing refresh processes.Proficiency in SQL.
• Ability to gather business requirements and deliver iterative reporting solutions.
• Experience communicating with leadership and conveying complex data issues to non-technical stakeholders.
