Job summary

Stryker in Portage, MI seeks a manufacturing associate to operate paints and powder processes, prepare components and sub-assemblies, and ensure conformance to specifications.

You will unload parts, set up equipment, perform quality checks, and maintain a clean work area while meeting schedule and overtime requirements. Shift: Mon-Fri 4:45am-1:15pm; OT two Saturdays monthly.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• One year of manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Paints and uses powder operations to properly prepare components including sub-assemblies and related parts.
• Unloads parts, racks, and hooks from the line and visually inspects completed parts.
• Applies painting and/or powder process per product specifications.
• Sets paint/powder equipment for proper tolerances, color and feed rate.
• Performs work preparation, cleanup and quality assurance of own work and area.
• Demonstrates commitment to quality and continuous improvement, meeting training and documentation criteria.
• Supports team-based, product-focused operations and participates in preventative maintenance and safety programs.
• Meets work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.
• Able to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs throughout shift.

• Unloads parts, part racks, and hooks from the line while visually inspecting completed parts
• Applies painting and/or powder process in accordance with product specifications
• Sets paint/powder equipment for proper tolerances, color and feed rate
• Responsible for work preparation, clean up, and quality assurance of own work and work area
• Committed to quality by striving for reliability and quality in our products, continuously searching for ways to enhance performance and meeting all training and documentation criteria
• Strives for operational excellence by promoting a team-based, product-focused organization, contributing to continuous improvement, participating in preventative maintenance and safety programs, striving for cost reduction, and committing to on-time, complete, and error-free shipments
