Job summary

Stryker in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, store and distribute materials with careful attention to inventory records and safety compliance.

Under general supervision, you will lift heavy items, operate a forklift, prepare goods for shipment, and enter data into the inventory system; on-time completion of training is expected. Competitive pay and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.

What You Will Do

Under general supervision, responsible for performing the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts and supplies along with maintaining records of materials/inventory.

• Maintains records of received goods, alerting appropriate personnel to inspect unsatisfactory items when necessary
• Will lift and move heavy items and may operate a forklift
• May prepare goods for final shipment and/or production assembly
• May examine, stock and/or distribute goods in inventory and/or in other areas
• May enter information into the inventory management system
• May train others in distribution related tasks and inventory control methods and practices
• Assists in physical inventories
• Performs periodic cycle counts on a pre-determined basis
• Determine part disposition
• Assists in inventory accuracy, control and reduction
• Performs periodic cycle counts on a pre-determined basis
• On-time completion of required training
