Job summary

United Alloy is seeking a hardworking Paint Line Operator to prep and assemble fabricated components in alignment with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies. The role emphasizes performance, quality preservation, organization, and efficiency on the paint line.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, this first-shift position runs 5:00am–3:00pm Monday–Thursday with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Exposure to metal fabrication concepts
• Experience with powder paint application
• Attention to detail
• Ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measure, caliper, hand tools and air tools
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Manual dexterity
• Hand/eye coordination
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Must perform all duties in conjunction with UAI and ISO requirements
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally with an assist

Responsibilities

• Paint 100% of assigned hours for the length of employment
• Execute proper powder coat application techniques
• Regulate paint gun settings as necessary
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment
• Perform required PM on paint line equipment
• Paint efficiently to meet UA's paint aesthetic and customer requirements
• Use equipment to check and verify paint thickness
