Job summary

Wayne Farms is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee production lines and department personnel, ensuring compliance with HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs and USDA/OSHA regulations while achieving productivity targets and meeting customer specifications.

The role requires leadership experience, ability to implement procedures, and collaboration with Quality Assurance to maintain a safe, efficient operation. Overnight shifts and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in a manufacturing setting
• Three years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred
• Strong leadership experience and ability to implement procedures

Responsibilities

• Manage production line/department to meet schedules and budgets
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics
• Ensure daily reports and staffing/yields are accurately recorded
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies
• Lead process improvements and monitor metrics
• Partner with Quality Assurance for food safety and USDA compliance
• Mentor and train employees and administer performance actions
• Enforce safety initiatives and PPE usage
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals
• Understand and adhere to Union contracts if applicable
