Job summary

Wayne Farms is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee production line and department personnel, ensuring compliance with HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs and USDA/OSHA regulations while achieving productivity targets.

The role requires experience in manufacturing, leadership capabilities, and a strong focus on food safety and quality. You will mentor staff, manage reports, and collaborate with QA to maintain a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in manufacturing; three years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating shift activities.
• Knowledge of timekeeping, policy adherence, and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage production line/department to meet schedules and budgets.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and safety.
• Complete daily departmental reports and staffing/yields documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce waste, and improve quality.
• Lead process improvements and monitor improvement metrics.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure USDA compliance and safety.
• Mentor and train staff; administer performance improvement actions as needed.
• Enforce safety initiatives and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals.
