Job summary

Wayne Farms is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to lead production-line personnel, ensure compliance with HACCP/SSOPs/GMPs and regulatory standards, and meet aggressive productivity goals.

You will mentor staff, manage shift staffing, and partner with Quality Assurance to sustain food safety and product quality across yields. Strong leadership and clear communication are essential for success in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year experience in a manufacturing setting; three (3) years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Demonstrated one (1) year leadership experience including timekeeping and policy adherence; Top 25 behaviors and conflict resolution advantageous.
• Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA, GMP and HACCP.
• Proficient English communication with internal and external customers; multi-language ability a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production line/department personnel and ensure compliance with HACCP, SSOPs and GMPs.
• Deploy and rotate staff to meet production schedules and optimize efficiency.
• Ensure accurate daily reporting of departmental metrics, attendance and yields.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies.
• Lead process improvements and monitor metrics; respond to unfavorable trends.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain a safe, sanitary environment per USDA requirements.
• Mentor and train employees; administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Promote safety initiatives and enforce PPE usage across the area.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet location goals and adhere to union agreements if applicable.
