Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms in North Carolina is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee production line personnel, ensuring adherence to HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, USDA and OSHA requirements while achieving safety, quality and productivity targets across shifts.

You will deploy and rotate staff to meet schedules, maintain accurate daily reports, identify opportunities for process improvements, mentor employees, and work with Quality Assurance to sustain a food-safe, sanitary operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Three (3) years experience in food manufacturing or poultry industry preferred.
• Leadership experience including timekeeping, policy adherence, conflict resolution and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Manage production line/department by establishing procedures to meet production schedules and adjust as needed.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reports are accurately completed and recorded.
• Identify and communicate opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies.
• Lead or participate in process improvements and monitor improvement metrics.
• Partner with QA to ensure a food-safe and sanitary environment (USDA requirements).
• Mentor, coach and train/cross-train employees; administer performance improvements and disciplinary actions.
• Follow safety initiatives and ensure PPE usage.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals.
