Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is looking for a versatile packer/line worker to rotate through packer, scaler, styler and grader roles on the poultry production line, ensuring the product flows at the designated rate for each product.

You will operate on a moving conveyor, perform packing and weighing, inspect and remove nonconforming product, and participate in team activities to uphold Simmons’ Lean practices, safety policies and performance objectives.

Qualifications

• Ability to make good decisions and communicate effectively with others and leadership.
• Preference for poultry or food processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Works on a moving conveyor belt using both hands. Spreads or styles product by hand on the belt.
• Performs multiple types of packing and weighing.
• Pulls bones from product; inspects, grades and removes product that does not meet standards.
• Participates in team development, communication and implementation of team concepts and policies.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
• Physical Activities: Move, push or pull up to 55 pounds; work in cold, wet, noisy, dusty environment; PPE required.
