Job summary

Simmons Animal Nutrition, Inc. is seeking workers to operate on a packing line, rotating through packer, scaler, styler and grader roles. You will maintain line speeds for each product and ensure quality by inspecting and removing non-conforming items from the line.

You will join a team, participate in continuous improvement, and adhere to Simmons' quality and lean operating systems. The job requires physical ability to handle weights and work in a cold, wet environment with appropriate PPE.

Qualifications

• Competencies include communication skills and decision quality.
• Industry experience preferred in poultry or food processing.

Responsibilities

• Learn and rotate between packer, scaler, styler and grader.
• Maintain line speeds and repos for each product.
• Pack and weigh various items on a moving conveyor belt.
• Inspect and remove non-conforming product from line.
• Collaborate with the Team and implement lean practices.
• Familiar with Simmons operating systems and quality policies.
• Perform other duties as needed to support business objectives.
• Work in cold, wet, noisy environment; use PPE as required.
