Job summary

Wayne Farms in Enterprise, AL is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor to oversee production line personnel and ensure adherence to HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, USDA and OSHA regulations while achieving productivity and meeting customer specs.

You will deploy staff, manage schedules, supervise up to 100 employees, mentor teammates, and partner with Quality Assurance to maintain a safe, sanitary environment. Strong English communication, leadership, and knowledge of poultry processing are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing setting; three years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Leadership experience including knowledge of timekeeping, policy adherence, Top 25 behaviors, conflict resolution.
• Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA, GMP and HACCP.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, with internal and external customers; multilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage production line/department to meet production schedules and budget objectives.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure daily reporting is accurately completed and recorded.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce deficiencies.
• Lead or participate in planning and implementation of process improvements.
• Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure a food safe and sanitary environment.
• Mentor, coach and train employees with consistent feedback.
• Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
• Follow safety initiatives and PPE requirements to maintain a zero accident culture.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet goals.
• Learn and adhere to current Union negotiated contract if applicable.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
