Qualifications

• BS in Poultry Science or related field preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• On-call 24 hours; flexible hours including some weekends.
• Must be self-motivated with accuracy and efficiency.
• Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervising all aspects of contract farms.
• Assist other Poultry Specialists as needed.
• Basic understanding of Farm controllers and equipment.
• Basic understanding of house construction and ventilation requirements.
• Basic knowledge for production feeding.
• Basic knowledge of rear.
• Resolving contract grower conflicts.
• Bio-security, strain security, animal welfare and health & safety are major responsibilities.
• Assisting with placements, vaccinations, and disinfection.
• May perform other tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor.
