Job summary

Versova is seeking a Flock Specialist to support and maintain barn operations and ensure the health and welfare of the poultry. The role involves unskilled and semi-skilled tasks following established routines and complying with FDA, USDA, SQF, and OSHA standards.

You will work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, handle lifting up to 50 lbs, and perform duties across barn environments in various climates, with opportunities for growth through comprehensive benefits and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Must lift 50 lbs and work in varied climate conditions.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ethical treatment of livestock and uphold industry standards.
• Maintain feeders, waterers and poultry care equipment.
• Clean poultry houses, pens, feeders and egg transfer areas.
• Keep records on mortality, feeding and flock information.
• Repair lighting and fix jams; assist with equipment and maintenance.
• Maintain proper ventilation and general cleanliness of barns.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
