Job summary

Versova is seeking a Flock Specialist I to support barn operations, ensuring the health and welfare of poultry. You will perform routine poultry tasks, follow established protocols, and maintain equipment and records onsite in Washington state.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with strong communication in a fast-paced farm environment.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of general work experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, reach, bend, twist, and lift above the head.
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure humane and ethical treatment of poultry.
• Follow USDA, FDA, and local regulations.
• Check and maintain feeders, waterers, and poultry care equipment.
• Clean poultry houses and related areas.
• Maintain records on mortality, feeding, and flock information.
• Catch loose birds and assist with cleaning tasks.
• Maintain proper lighting and ventilation inside barns.
