Job summary

Versova is seeking a Flock Specialist I to support and maintain poultry barns and welfare. The role follows established routines and regulatory standards to ensure safe, high-quality egg production.

You will perform a range of poultry-related tasks under supervision, with attention to health, safety, and accurate record-keeping. The position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as production demands dictate.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of general work experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., reach, bend, twist, and lift above the head.
• Must be agile and able to work in various climate conditions.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holiday hours as required based on production demand.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fair and ethical treatment of livestock, maintaining high industry standards.
• Follow procedures as outlined by USDA, FDA, and other government agencies.
• Check and maintain feeders, waterers, and poultry care equipment.
• Clean poultry houses, pens, feeders, water devices, and egg transfers.
• Keep and check records on poultry mortality, feeding, and flock information.
• Catch loose birds and fix egg jams; replace burnt-out light bulbs.
