Luster Products, Inc. seeks a Production Line Technician for the Circle Pouch Lines on the CHGO, Chicago, IL floor. You will be stationed on the production line, aiming to maximize efficiency, execute swift changeovers, and troubleshoot pouch packaging machinery.

The role requires hands-on pouch-line experience and strong mechanical skills; you will work in a fast-paced environment with safety as a priority. Shift: 1st shift, with scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years working on Circle Packaging pouch lines on high-speed packaging equipment.
• 3+ years mechanical maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, and basic welding/fabrication.
• Ability to read mechanical schematics and manuals to source parts and troubleshoot.
• Clear verbal and written English communication; basic computer literacy for logging.

Responsibilities

• Maximize line efficiency by diagnosing and resolving issues on active pouch lines.
• Execute rapid line changeovers between product runs to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and component rebuilds for reliability.
• Document work orders and track parts usage and maintenance notes.
• Collaborate with supervisors and operators on continuous improvement.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
