Job summary

Torrey Holistics in West Chicago, IL seeks a Production Line Mechanic/Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed packaging equipment. You will collaborate with electrical staff, perform preventive maintenance, and support safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional weekend work. Shift is 7pm–7am with rotating weekends; OT and double time apply after thresholds.

Qualifications

• Two years of production line mechanic or technician experience preferred.
• Packaging/can making equipment experience is a plus.
• Understanding of automation principles and controls logic is a plus.
• Able to work in hot conditions and on feet most of the day.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems on high-speed lines.
• Work with electrical staff to fix packaging equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance safely and on time.
• Support food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
