Job summary

Luster Products in Chicago, IL is seeking a skilled Production Line Technician to own the performance of our Circle Packaging pouch lines on the production floor. You will maximize efficiency, perform rapid changeovers, and troubleshoot automated machinery in a fast-paced setting.

Candidates should have 2+ years on pouch lines, 3+ years mechanical maintenance in high-speed environments, and strong diagnostic skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on pouch line experience on Circle Packaging machinery.
• 3+ years mechanical maintenance in high-speed manufacturing (Food/Bev/Pharma/CPG preferred).
• Strong diagnostics in pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, and basic welding/fabrication.
• Ability to read/mechanically interpret schematics and manuals for parts.
• Clear verbal and written English, basic computer literacy for work orders.

Responsibilities

• Maximize line efficiency by troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on active pouch lines.
• Perform rapid line changeovers with calibrations and test setups to minimize downtime.
• Complete preventive maintenance and component rebuilds for peak reliability.
• Document and track work orders, logging parts usage and maintenance notes.
• Collaborate with supervision to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.
• Maintain safety standards and a clean workspace per OSHA and company protocols.
