Job summary

LCMC Health’s Mothers/Baby Unit seeks a Registered Nurse dedicated to compassionate care for new families. You will safeguard mother and baby health, support breastfeeding, and empower new mothers to bond with their newborns in a nurturing environment.

You will apply nursing processes, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in quality improvement while maintaining high standards of patient education and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• NRP certification (within 6 mos.)
• NALS certification (within 6 mos.)

Responsibilities

• Maintain infection control practices and regulatory compliance.
• Deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate and delegate patient care with an interdisciplinary team.
• Engage in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address concerns through service recovery.
