Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Postpartum Unit. This part-time role offers 16 hours per week with weekend rotation and evening/night availability. The PCT will assist with vital signs, patient care tasks, and support RN staff on the Antepartum unit.

Qualifications include CNA training (preferred) and current BLS certification; inpatient PCT or maternal child health experience is favored. Opportunity to grow within a hospital system.

Qualifications

• Education: CNA training preferred or nursing clinical rotation in medical/surgical nursing preferred.
• Certification: Current BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association.
• Experience: Inpatient PCT or maternal child health experience preferred.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Inpatient PCT or maternal child health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work under RN supervision to deliver patient care on the Antepartum unit.
• Assist with vital signs, 12-Lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV removal, specimen collection, bathing, turning, hourly rounding, glucose, feeding, admissions, discharge prep.
• Assist with implementing patient care plans.
• Participate in activities essential to unit functioning and promote safety and high-quality patient experience.
