Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician for part-time duties on the Postpartum unit. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, providing direct patient care and performing tasks such as vital signs, EKGs, catheter care, hygiene, and admissions/discharges as needed.

Experience in inpatient PCT or maternal child health is preferred, with opportunities for skill development and teamwork in a Magnet-designated hospital system.

Qualifications

• CNA training preferred or nursing clinical rotation experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification issued by American Heart Association, or obtainable within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support RN in delivering patient care on the Postpartum unit.
• Assist withVital Signs, 12-Lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, turning, and hourly rounding.
• Assist with implementing a patient-specific care plan and care activities on the unit.
• Participate in activities essential to unit functioning and patient safety and experience.

Education

CNA training preferred

Nursing clinical rotation preferred

BLS certification (American Heart Association)
