Job summary

Swedish Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Part-time Department Support Assistant for the Postpartum unit. This role covers the front desk, answers calls, greets patients and families, and helps with mail and basic department tasks.

You will need strong Microsoft Office skills, a high school diploma, and at least one year of hospital experience; BLS certification is required. Epic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high-quality customer-focused support.
• Familiarity with hospital front desk operations and mail handling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and Epic experience preferred.
• Minimum of one year hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide front desk coverage and answer/direct calls.
• Greet patients and family members and assist as needed.
• Collect and distribute department mail.
• Perform general duties such as monitoring and ordering supplies, submitting work orders, and document assembly.
