Job summary

Swedish Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Part-time Department Support Assistant for the Postpartum unit. This role covers the front desk, answers calls, greets patients and families, and helps with mail and basic department tasks.

You will need strong Microsoft Office skills, a high school diploma, and at least one year of hospital experience; BLS certification is required. Epic experience is preferred.

The position offers weekend rotation and competitive benefits for eligible employees.

• Hours: 1500-2330 and 2300-0730 with weekend and holiday rotation

• Greeting patients and family members and provide assistance as needed

• Performs related general duties such as monitoring and ordering supplies, submitting work orders, collating and assembling documents,

What you will need

• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and other department related systems
• Highest level of customer service skills
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Minimum of one year hospital experience preferred
• High School Degree required
• BLS (from American Heart Association) required
