Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Support Assistant at Swedish Hospital to manage the front desk and support the clinical team. You will handle calls, schedule patients in Epic, and coordinate with physicians and departments to ensure smooth patient visits.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years in administrative/customer service, with Epic knowledge preferred. It is an on-site, day-shift position offering comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPIC knowledge and experience preferred.
• 1–2 years in administrative/customer service preferred.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage front desk and waiting area communication to move patients through visits and support the clinical team.
• Answer incoming department calls from patients, physicians, and other departments while following NorthShore standards and documenting in Epic telephone encounters.
• Use Epic to schedule and register patients for multiple providers, sites, and services.
• Obtain prior authorization, records and orders as needed to ensure seamless patient arrivals to the department.
• Familiarize yourself with physician preferences, availability, visit types, and protocols.
• Review department templates daily to ensure patient access and efficient utilization.
