Job summary

OpenRouter, Inc. seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer based in the San Francisco Bay Area to help customers implement, adopt, and scale OpenRouter in production.

You will work closely with customers post-sale to design integration paths, improve inference architectures, and drive adoption across teams, while coordinating with Customer Success, Sales, and Product to deliver measurable outcomes. This role requires hands-on technical skills, excellent communication, and willingness to travel to

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in technical customer-facing roles (e.g., Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer).
• Proficient software engineering fundamentals and ability to debug production code.
• Experience with APIs, SDKs, cloud infra, or AI/ML infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical onboarding for new customers after contract close and move them to production usage.
• Define success plans and technical adoption goals with CS and account teams.
• Help customers integrate OpenRouter into apps, workflows, and developer environments.
