Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Lending Quality Control Specialist to perform post-closing QC reviews of loan files, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations and internal policies.

You will liaise with lending staff to resolve issues, maintain QC databases, and assist with lien perfection, mortgage filings, and file archiving. The role demands attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years experience in Consumer/Mortgage Lending, Real Estate, or equivalent.
• Experience in Consumer Loan Processing, Servicing, or Underwriting preferred.
• Accurate with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a QC database of originated and non-originated loan files (Consumer and Mortgage).
• Perform quality control audits on each loan file to verify applicable regulations and policies.
• Communicate with lending staff and management by phone and email to follow up on missing files and issues.
• Prepare and review reports (regularly scheduled and as assigned).
• Assist in accurately archiving lending files electronically.
• Assist with loan compliance monitoring activities to ensure lending practices align with policies and regulations.
• Assist with tracking lien perfection and mortgage filings, including UCC filings and mortgages.
• Other duties or projects as assigned.
