Job summary

Mains’l is seeking a Positive Support Specialist to partner with individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health needs in homes and community settings. You will implement Positive Support Plans, teach new skills, and coach teams to improve quality of life through person-centered, evidence-based supports.

You will collaborate with families and professionals to help people achieve meaningful outcomes, monitor progress with data, and ensure high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• Two years of supervised experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviors and co-occurring mental health needs.
• Experience implementing behavioral or therapeutic interventions.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Implement Positive Support Plans and behavioral interventions.
• Teach and reinforce skill acquisition programs to increase independence.
• Meet with families, support teams, and stakeholders to review progress.
• Provide input on therapeutic interventions and data collection.
• Collect, document, and analyze behavioral data to monitor outcomes.
• Provide coaching and modeling to direct support staff and teams.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
• Maintain accurate documentation and billing per guidelines.
