Job summary
Mains’l Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Counselor to join our Wellness team.
The role provides advanced assessment, therapeutic interventions and clinical consultation for individuals with developmental disabilities and cooccurring mental health needs, in home and community settings. You will develop person-centered treatment plans, train support teams, and collaborate with families, schools and health professionals to improve quality of life.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience with people with disabilities.
- Minimum 1 year experience in behavioral health.
- Experience developing and implementing interventions for challenging behavior.
- Valid driver's license required.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced assessment, therapeutic interventions and clinical consultation for individuals with developmental disabilities and coexisting mental health needs.
- Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans and training for the person and their support teams.
- Collaborate with families, staff, and professionals across home, community-based settings, and private homes.
- Travel to various locations in the community and to meetings across the metro area.
