Job summary

The Snohomish School District is seeking a Paraeducator B - Positive Behavior Support to assist with individualized and small group instruction. You will support students with diverse needs and help them access education through academic support and behavior management.

Under the direction of building staff, you will collaborate to implement accommodations, reinforce positive behaviors, and promote independence.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete the FCS-Paraeducator Certificate upon hire.
• Ability to meet the listed qualifications for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist with individualized and small group instruction for students of all educational levels.
• Support students with physical, behavioral, or medical needs as outlined in IEPs.
• Promote student independence through academic support and behavior management.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement accommodations and strategies.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university

72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher

Professional Educator Standards Board approved assessments (ParaPro/Para Pathways/Pearson/MDI)

Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate
