Job summary

Truist is seeking an experienced senior operations leader to govern the Position Management Process and manage staffing costs for the TD&O workforce across FTE and CW. You will ensure positions are funded, tied to demand, gearing ratios, and portfolio affordability while partnering with Workforce Strategy, the TD&O Portfolio Team, First Line Risk, and Finance.

Responsibilities include overseeing cross-functional technology projects, driving process improvements, and communicating status

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in business operations or related professional roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of business processes, technology applications, and operational management.
  • Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Advanced degree in business administration, finance, staffing planning, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in position management, workforce economics, staffing governance, and financial planning across both full-time and contingent labor in a large enterprise or financial services environment.
  • Working knowledge of position management, hiring governance, gearing ratios, and cost and affordability controls, with the ability to partner across Workforce Strategy, Portfolio, First Line Risk, and Finance.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to align business operations with technology strategies and organizational goals.

  • Ensures compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.
  • Communicates operational status, risks, and strategic improvement plans to executive stakeholders.
  • Provides project leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to team members and junior professionals.

Education

Preserves and governs the Position Management Process while adding governance over the financial impacts of staffing across the full TD&O workforce — monitoring, managing, and measuring the cost tied directly to every resource, both full-time employees (FTE) and contingent workers (CW). Ensures every position is tied to funded demand, gearing ratios, and portfolio affordability before authorization, partnering across Workforce Strategy, the TD&O Portfolio Team, First Line Risk, and Finance.
