Job summary

Social Factor is seeking a Temporary Language Community Moderator with native Portuguese language skills. You’ll help build and grow online communities for well-known brands by engaging with users and reflecting the brand voice. Prior moderation experience is required, and live stream moderation is a plus.

The role offers project-based, temporary, or part-time work with flexible schedules. This is US-based or UK-based work, with opportunities across time zones and platforms.

Qualifications

• Native-level Portuguese language proficiency.
• Deep understanding of Portuguese language culture, slang, and references.
• Able to match client brand voice and engage with users.
• Experience in social media moderation; live stream moderation a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; tests may be given.
• Familiarity with major social platforms (YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn).
• Technical readiness: Windows 10, macOS 12, 150 Mbps internet.

Some of our work is 24/7 so if you are an early bird or a night owl, we may have something for you! If you are a US-based or UK-based , Social Media Community Moderator, we'd love to hear from you. We are looking for project based, temporary or part-time work moderators working in English and Portuguese. The Community Moderator role will work to develop strong, growing, digital communities for some of the world's most well-known brands as work becomes available.

Temporary Language Community Moderator Requirements:

• Native-level understanding of Portuguese language
• Deep understanding of respective language pop culture, nomenclature, cultural references, and slang
• Able to understand client's brand voice & accurately engage with users
• Previous social media moderation experience is required and live stream moderation is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (ability to mirror voice/tone of multiple brands)
• Excellent spelling and grammar skills (skills and/or language test will be given for final candidates)
• Knowledge of and experience with the major social media platforms: Youtube, FB, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
• Personal computer with minimum of Windows 10 and macOS 12.Personal internet speed requirement of a minimum of 150 mbps
• AI is a great tool, we encourage using it to practice interviewing, prepare questions for your interviews, and proofread your resume, however use of AI technology during live interview conversations is prohibited and could lead to disqualification.
