Job summary

Social Factor is seeking Portuguese-speaking moderators for project-based, part-time work. We welcome US- or UK-based applicants and offer flexible schedules for 24/7 coverage.

The Community Moderator will develop and grow digital communities for well-known brands, mirror each brand voice in user interactions, and ensure engaging, respectful conversations across platforms.

Previous moderation experience required; strong spelling, grammar, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Native-level understanding of Portuguese language.
• Deep knowledge of language pop culture, nomenclature, cultural references, and slang.
• Able to mirror client brand voice & accurately engage with users.
• Previous social media moderation experience is required and live stream moderation is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (ability to mirror voice/tone of multiple brands).
• Excellent spelling and grammar skills (skills and/or language test will be given for final candidates).
• Knowledge of and experience with the major social media platforms: Youtube, FB, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
• Personal computer with Windows 10 and macOS 12; personal internet speed of at least 150 Mbps.

Some of our work is 24/7 so if you are an early bird or a night owl, we may have something for you! If you are a US-based or UK-based , Social Media Community Moderator, we'd love to hear from you. We are looking for project based, temporary or part-time work moderators working in English and Portuguese. The Community Moderator role will work to develop strong, growing, digital communities for some of the world's most well-known brands as work becomes available.

Temporary Language Community Moderator Requirements:

• Native-level understanding of Portuguese language
• Deep understanding of respective language pop culture, nomenclature, cultural references, and slang
• Able to understand client's brand voice & accurately engage with users
• Previous social media moderation experience is required and live stream moderation is a plus
