Job summary

Social Factor seeks moderators with Portuguese language expertise to work on project-based, temporary or part-time assignments. The role focuses on building and nurturing digital communities for major brands, with flexibility for 24/7 scheduling and different time zones.

Ideal candidates have native Portuguese, strong moderation experience, and ability to mirror brand voice across platforms. Live stream moderation is a bonus, and AI tools are encouraged for practice.

Qualifications

• Native-level understanding of Portuguese language.
• Deep understanding of language pop culture, nomenclature, cultural references, and slang.
• Able to understand client's brand voice and engage with users.
• Previous social media moderation experience is required and live stream moderation is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to mirror brand voice.
• Excellent spelling and grammar; language tests may be given.
• Knowledge of major social media platforms: YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
• PC with Windows 10 and macOS 12; internet speed at least 150 Mbps.
• AI tools encouraged for practice; using AI during live interview conversations is prohibited.

Some of our work is 24/7 so if you are an early bird or a night owl, we may have something for you! If you are a US-based or UK-based , Social Media Community Moderator, we'd love to hear from you. We are looking for project based, temporary or part-time work moderators working in English and Portuguese. The Community Moderator role will work to develop strong, growing, digital communities for some of the world's most well-known brands as work becomes available.

Temporary Language Community Moderator Requirements:

• Native-level understanding of Portuguese language
• Deep understanding of respective language pop culture, nomenclature, cultural references, and slang
• Able to understand client's brand voice & accurately engage with users
• Previous social media moderation experience is required and live stream moderation is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (ability to mirror voice/tone of multiple brands)
• Excellent spelling and grammar skills (skills and/or language test will be given for final candidates)
• Knowledge of and experience with the major social media platforms: Youtube, FB, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
• Personal computer with minimum of Windows 10 and macOS 12.Personal internet speed requirement of a minimum of 150 mbps
• AI is a great tool, we encourage using it to practice interviewing, prepare questions for your interviews, and proofread your resume, however use of AI technology during live interview conversations is prohibited and could lead to disqualification.
