Job description

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a language service provider connecting bilingual and multilingual individuals with opportunities as freelance interpreters or translators. Our mission is to bridge communication gaps through excellent language services.

We are seeking bilingual and multilingual individuals for freelance interpreter roles as 1099 Independent Contractors. Interpreters contribute to society by supporting language access for all, regardless of English proficiency. As an independent contractor, you set your availability and accept appointments based on your schedule.

Appointments are available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, but are not guaranteed and depend on need. Starting pay ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, influenced by language demand, experience, and availability.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and target language with a strong understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural patterns
• Prior interpreting experience, ideally in medical, legal, or educational settings
• Professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Capability to operate basic communication tools
• Flexibility to work in various settings and environments
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship)
• High School Diploma or equivalent; interpreting certification preferred
