Job description

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a language service provider connecting bilingual and multilingual individuals with freelance interpreting and translation opportunities. Our mission is to bridge communication gaps through excellent and compassionate language services.

We are seeking bilingual and multilingual individuals for freelance interpreter roles as 1099 Independent Contractors. Interpreters contribute positively to society by supporting language access for all, regardless of English proficiency. As an independent contractor, you set your availability and accept appointments based on your schedule.

Appointments are available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, but are not guaranteed and depend on need. Starting pay ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, depending on language demand, experience, and availability.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and target language, with a strong understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural nuances
• Experience in interpreting, preferably in medical, legal, or educational fields
• Professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Basic communication device operation skills
• Flexibility to work in various settings and environments
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship provided)
• High School Diploma or equivalent, or certification in interpreting or related fields
