Job description

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a language service provider connecting bilingual and multilingual individuals with freelance interpreting and translating opportunities. Our mission is to bridge communication gaps through excellent and compassionate language services.

We are seeking bilingual and multilingual freelance interpreters to join us as independent contractors (1099). In this role, you contribute to society by supporting language access for all, regardless of English proficiency. As a contractor, you set your availability and accept appointments based on your schedule.

Appointments are available Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, but are not guaranteed and depend on demand. Starting pay ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, influenced by language, experience, and demand.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and the target language, with a strong understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural nuances
• Experience in interpreting, preferably in medical, legal, or educational settings
• Professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Basic communication operation skills
• Flexibility to work in various environments
• Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship)
• High School Diploma or equivalent; certification in interpreting or related fields preferred
