Job description

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a language service provider connecting bilingual and multilingual individuals with freelance interpreting opportunities. Our mission is to bridge communication gaps through excellent and compassionate language services.

We are seeking bilingual and multilingual individuals for freelance interpreter roles as 1099 Independent Contractors. Interpreters contribute to societal language access, acting as their own boss by setting availability and accepting appointments based on their schedule.

Appointments are available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, but are not guaranteed and depend on demand.

Starting pay ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, depending on language demand, experience, and availability.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and target language, with understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural nuances
• Previous interpreting experience, preferably in medical, legal, or educational settings
• Professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate basic communication tools
• Flexibility to work in various settings and environments
• Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship offered)
• High School Diploma or equivalent; interpreting certification preferred
