Job description

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a language service provider connecting bilingual and multilingual individuals with opportunities as freelance interpreters or translators. Our mission is to bridge communication gaps through excellent, compassionate language services.

We seek bilingual and multilingual individuals for freelance interpreter roles as 1099 Independent Contractors. Interpreters contribute to society by supporting language access for all, regardless of English proficiency. As independent contractors, interpreters set their own schedules and accept appointments based on availability.

Available appointment times are Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. Appointments are based on need and are not guaranteed.

Starting pay ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, depending on language, experience, and demand.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and the target language, with a good understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural patterns
• Previous interpreting experience, ideally in medical, legal, or educational settings
• Professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Basic operation of communication devices
• Flexibility to work in various settings and environments
• Located in and authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship provided)
• High School Diploma or equivalent, or certification in interpreting or related fields
