Job summary

Mark-Taylor in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a Portfolio Accountant to support financial operations across our apartment communities, delivering GAAP-compliant reporting and accurate cash flow analysis. You will prepare monthly financials, reconcile balance sheets, oversee cash management, and review GL/AP coding, coordinating with on-site teams to ensure timely month-end closes.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Accounting/Finance, 2+ years in property management accounting, strong Excel, and

Qualifications

BS in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
Preferably 2 years of property management experience using GAAP to report financials.
Strong Excel skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly financial reports.
Reconcile Balance Sheets.
Oversee cash management and monthly bank reconciliations.
Perform cash flow analysis and client distributions.
Handle draw preparation and review budgets for lease-up properties.
Prepare monthly sales tax returns.
Audit property transactions actual to budget with on-site teams for month-end close.
Review General Ledger and Accounts Payable coding for each community.
Other duties as assigned by Manager.
