Job summary

M5 Services is seeking a Porter Tech to join our commercial building services team in Pleasanton. The role combines light maintenance with janitorial tasks on site, keeping lobbies, restrooms, and common areas looking clean and functioning.

You will learn the trade on real commercial properties, with training, tools, and uniforms provided. We offer a company vehicle where appropriate, a 401k with match, paid holidays and sick leave, and health benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial porter, janitorial, or building maintenance.
• Willingness to pick up the trade side of the job.

Responsibilities

• Maintain common areas and restrooms to a high standard.
• Fix issues that arise during shifts (lights, doors, fixtures, leaks).
• Assist with tenant requests and property manager needs.
• Learn the trade while working on real commercial buildings.

Job description

M5 Services is a commercial building services contractor based in Pleasanton. We maintain and repair commercial properties across the Tri-Valley, the East Bay, San Francisco, and the Peninsula: office buildings, retail, and industrial sites for property managers and national facility groups.

THE WORK

A role we built ourselves, and one you won't find at most contractors. Part day porter, part maintenance tech. You keep a commercial property looking right, and you fix what breaks while you're there. Common areas, restrooms, trash, tenant requests, and then the light that's out, the door that sticks, the fixture that drips.
