Job summary

SpaceX, Hawthorne, CA, seeks a Supervisor, Porter to manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and payroll for the Culinary and Food & Beverage team. You will coordinate logistics for daily operations and events, supervise porters and dishwashers, and ensure food safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires 2+ years in inventory and 2+ years in restaurant/retail food service with leadership experience. CA food handler and safety certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inventory experience.
• 2+ years of restaurant or retail food service experience.
• 1+ years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Take on hand inventories and place orders for Culinary food services.
• Receive and check in deliveries from vendors daily.
• Set and enforce standards of ordering and receiving operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory of product for all departmental areas.
• Create awareness with Kitchen teams regarding inaccuracies with product delivery.
• Work with culinary team to ensure best product/vendor selection.
• Monitor and track department spending by vendor.
• Reconcile invoicing and submit purchase orders for food and equipment vendors.
• Satisfy interdepartmental requests through our internal request system.
• Manage porters for site support, food deliveries, and the cleanliness of surrounding areas.
• Manage dishwashers for kitchen support and cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas.
• Manage staff scheduling, payroll, and attendance for team.
• Annual staff reviews and ongoing coaching and development.
• Maintain staff training and credentials are up to date.
• Supervise water, ice, and supply backstock deliveries around campus.
• Support internal delivery of supplies for daily operations and events.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment for team.
• Monitor and support equipment and asset management/preventative maintenance.
• Support daily services and other tasks as directed by management.
