Job summary

Powder Mountain is seeking a Porter to join our Food & Beverage team. This seasonal full-time role offers a fast-paced environment, valuable kitchen exposure, reliable transportation, and a team-focused culture.

The ideal candidate is 16+ years old with minimal experience, able to learn quickly, and willing to support dishwashing, cleaning, and basic kitchen operations. A uniform and punctuality are expected.

Qualifications

• Food handlers permit through Weber County Health Department.
• Knowledge of kitchen terminology to communicate with peers.
• Ability to learn and grow to anticipate peers’ needs.
• Non-slip shoes required in all kitchens.

Responsibilities

• Scrub, rinse, and load all back-of-house and front-of-house dishes into the dish machine as needed.
• Wash, sanitize, unload and organize pans, utensils and dishes to their initial locations.
• Avoid running cast iron and wooden equipment through the machine.
• Scrub compartment sinks, rinse, sanitize; empty trash and replace liners.
• Maintain a clean work area in the kitchen and front area; sweep and mop as needed.
• Break down and deep cleaning of kitchen spaces per the deep cleaning calendar.
• Occasionally assist in the Commissary Kitchen and perform their shift duties when needed.
• Be punctual; wear a uniform and maintain a tidy appearance.
• On delivery days, organize the walk-in and help put orders away.
• Report directly to the Chef.

Fun atmosphere, excellent benefits, and career opportunity!## About this RoleJob Title: Porter Department: Food & Beverage Status: Seasonal FT Reporting To: Commissary Chef Key Responsibilities:* Age 16+* Minimal experience required* Able to work in a fast-paced environment* Reliable Transportation preferred. Must be able to drive in adverse weather or use UTA.* Be a team player, have a \"can do\" attitude, be willing to learn.* Scrub, rinse, and load all back-of-house and front-of-house dishes and utensils into dish machine, as needed at Cache Hall* Wash, sanitize, unload and organize all pans, utensils, and dishes and return them to initial location* Be vigilant about cast iron and wooden equipment and NOT run them through the machine* Scrub all compartment sinks with soap or ajax, rinse, sanitize* Empty trash containers of the kitchen space as needed and replace with a new trash liner before running trash to the dumpster* Maintain a clean work area and kitchen & front area by sweeping and mopping as needed* Perform additional cleaning duties as requested by Chef* Adhere to Powder Mountain's Policy and Procedures* Help maintain janitorial stock lists* Reports directly to Chef* Clean and tidy appearance/ wear a uniform.* Have awareness and discretion of guests, be polite* Breaking down and deep cleaning of kitchen spaces according to deep cleaning calendar* Occasionally assist in the Commissary Kitchen and perform their shift duties when needed* Very punctual* Break down boxes to make space in the dumpster* On truck delivery days, organize the walk in to the Chefs standard, help put the order awayRequirements and/or Qualifications:* Food handlers permit through Weber County Health Department* Knowledge of kitchen terminology (behind, corner, hot) to notify your peers of your presence* Ability to learn and grow which will enable you to anticipate your peer’s needs* Non slip shoes required in all kitchensPhysical Requirements:* Ability to lift and carry up to 60+ lbs.
