Job summary

Powder Mountain is seeking a Guest Services Host to deliver exceptional service at outdoor posts across the mountain. You will assist with ticket pick-up, explain online purchase flows via QR codes, and share in-depth knowledge of resort products, routes, and local information in a friendly, engaging manner.

This seasonal PT role requires prior Powder Mountain experience within the last two years and a positive, adaptable attitude to operate in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Guest Services Host# Guest Services HostPowder Mountain - Eden, UT 84310; Powder HQ - Eden, UT 84310## OverviewSalary Range$20.00 - $21.00 Hourly## SummaryThe Guest Services Hosts deliver the highest quality service, accurate resort and local information while stationed at strategic posts throughout the mountain. This position is primarily an outdoor position in inclement weather. The Hosts promote the unique products, services, and mountain features in an engaging and friendly manner. Guest Service Hosts support the ticket office by greeting guests, explaining products, assisting with online purchases, and ticket pick up. Guest Service Hosts can also support the Guest Service desk when available.## About this Role**Job Title:** Guest Services Host **Department:** Guest Services **Status:** Seasonal PT **Reporting To:** Guest Services Manager**Key Responsibilities:**Proactively engage guests and deliver exceptional service in the following areas, but not limited to:* Assist guests with ticket pick up process by providing guidance to guests with the ticket pick up process ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.* Fully understand online purchase flow utilizing QR codes to provide clear instructions to guests for onsite sales.* Share in-depth knowledge of resort products, services, mountain wayfinding, current resort and local information including road closures, lift/trail openings/closures and more.* Greet, educate and support guests at the various mountain features, the online ticket purchase process and solving issues efficiently.* Immediately report emergencies, accidents, and theft to the appropriate department.* Implement, promote and embrace Powder Mountain’s Mission, Values and Service Essentials, and policies and procedures.* Set up and break down ticket line barricades and sandwich board signage* Take initiative to perform duties which help facilitate operations and maintain cleanliness of your work area.* Other duties as assigned**Requirements and/or Qualifications:*** Must have worked at Powder Mountain within the last 2 years and be in good standing with previous manager* Attend annual orientation* Knowledgeable about Powder Mountain* Ability to walk the guest through the online purchase process* Great attitude, positive mindset, and able to adapt to any situation**Physical Requirements- Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:*** Full range of body movements* Bend, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (50+lbs)* Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting in extreme and inclement weather* Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain* Climb/descend stairs/ladders**Working Environment:**Work is performed outside consisting of extreme temperatures, loud sounds/noises that are distracting, sun and wind exposure, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice), high altitudes (9,000 ft+).
