Job summary

South Oxford Management is seeking a Porter to maintain common areas and assist with make-readies at our Spring Hill properties. You will walk the community, help keep trash out, support safety, and communicate with the Maintenance Lead and Community Manager.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Physically walk all areas of the community frequently to keep the property clean and presentable.
• Think safety first and correct unsafe conditions promptly.
• Perform trash-out duties on vacant apartments.
• Assist with make-ready duties as requested.
• Maintain a safe, tidy clubhouse and all common areas.
• Ensure landscaping and grass are well maintained.
• Lead and report maintenance or curb-appeal issues to supervisor.
• Respond to emergencies according to policies.

How You Will Contribute

The Porter is responsible for maintaining the common areas of the property and apartments prior to move in Things You Will Do

Things You Will Do

• Physically walk all areas of the community frequently ensure that the property is free of trash debris and animal waste
• Think safety first and ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected promptly
• Perform trash out duties on vacant apartments removing abandoned furniture trash and boxes
• Assist with make ready duties as requested
• Maintain a safe tidy and sanitary clubhouse office model and all other common areas
• Ensure the cleanliness of the dumpster areas and necessary preparation for trash pick up
• Ensure that the grass and landscaping are well maintained including the watering of flowers
• Ensure the best possible appearance of each apartment prior to new resident move in
• Advise supervisor of items needing additional attention in the apartment; ie ripped carpet torn linoleum window or door repair etc
• Communicate with the Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor
• Lead regarding any problems with maintenance or curb appeal that requires further attention
• Respond appropriately to emergencies according to policies and procedures
• Ensure understanding and compliance with all policies and procedures
• Contribute to resident satisfaction by ensuring that residents expectations are met or exceeded
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Maintenance LeadSupervisor or Community Manager

Things You Will Need

• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
• Willingness to work a flexible work week including weekends
• Must be able to walk the property which includes climbing stairs
• Able to bend stoop squat kneel climb stairs push pull reach carry supplies and stand for extended periods of time
