Position Summary

Zachry Group is seeking a Janitorial Attendant / Day Porter for the Corporate Office in San Antonio, TX. The Day Porter maintains a clean and comfortable environment by performing janitorial duties, emergency cleanups, and addressing maintenance issues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance work orders and emergency cleanup requests.
• Sanitize and clean common areas, including entrances, walkways, and glass doors.
• Provide porter services for conference rooms, including tidying, cleaning surfaces, and emptying trash.
• Maintain coffee and Xerox areas, including making coffee and running the dishwasher.
• Service restrooms by sanitizing surfaces and replenishing supplies.
• Report building maintenance issues and equipment malfunctions.
• Assist building occupants with cleaning and maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk and stand continuously for extended periods.
• Friendly and customer-service oriented.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in janitorial, custodial, or porter roles in a large office or similar facility.

Physical Demands

Must communicate effectively in person, via phone, and email. Capable of lifting and moving objects safely.

Work Environment

Work in a professional office setting, interacting with occupants and guests. Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
